Services

To access CIO-as-a-Service the following can be tailored to meet your particular requirements:

ICT & Digital Services Health Check

  • CIOco will conduct a review of ICT services using structured interviews (business and technical), document reviews and observations to establish a maturity baseline. Critical analysis will identify the essential steps that need to be taken to achieve exemplary improvements.

CIO-as-a-Service

  • We will provide an ‘Interim’, ‘Ongoing’, ‘Virtual’ or ‘Coaching’ CIO. These engagements can involve on-site and/or off-site elements, as needed, as well as entailing full-time or part-time commitments. Typically CIO as a Service can be short (less than 6 weeks) or up to 6 to 12 months in duration.

Building ICT Teams & Capability

  • Strategic Sourcing – comparing current team capabilities (AS IS) against desired capabilities (TO BE), establishing a capabilities roadmap and sourcing strategy to transform ICT.
  • Leadership Team Development – building or enhancing the ICT Leadership team through business and strategic planning, coaching, objective and development goal setting and performance monitoring.

Digital & ICT Strategic Planing

  • Direct the process involving business strategy review and alignment, ICT environmental assessment, business and ICT digital visioning, strategy mapping, development of strategic themes and initiatives preparing the ‘case for change’ and a roadmap.

ICT Governance

  • Establishing an effective ICT governance framework. Just as you wouldn’t want to apply a sledgehammer to crack a walnut, you wouldn’t want to bypass essential checks and balances that protect your organisation. ICT best practice for governance can be easily accessed and tailored to suit your needs, using such frameworks as COBIT from ISACA, so why reinvent the wheel?

ICT Transformation

  • To ensure that ICT remains relevant, the approach we use to facilitate ICT transformation is based on developing a Target Operating Model (TOM). This enables us to specify services as the nucleus and to consider the dimensions of an organisation, its people, technology and processes within an appropriate governance framework. Elements of the Business Model Canvas can be used to inform the exercise. Transformation is about doing the same things differently and creating better outcomes.

ICT Alignment

  • ICT and Digital Alignment involves bringing together these things with the business(es) that you serve. This can best be achieved by forming a relationship with your customers based upon honesty and transparency to achieve TRUST. That might involve changing what you do or how you do it and it is based upon establishing an agreed set of principles, goals and values.
